Hello friends. Happy midweek and Happy Veterans Day! I am thankful to have the day off, and also thankful to all the service men and women who serve our country. Today, I am bringing you a mid-week post with a little black dress styled three ways. I stumbled upon this little black dress that is affordable and appropriate for many occasions. What I like most about this dress is it is flattering, but not too body conscious. It’s great for parties, photos, church or date night. It’s very comfortable, and at under $50, it’s a steal!!
This little black dress has a bit of stretch, so it doesn’t feel restricting. Also, the puff sleeves are a little sassy, and the high neck makes a great framework for a statement necklace or scarf. Additionally, the modest hem makes it suitable for church or the office, and the side slit is slightly sexy, but not too revealing.
First, I styled it simply with black, peep toe slides and pearl accessories. The pearl earrings and necklace are not a set, but match perfectly and are accentuated against the dark color. Pearls and a little black dress make a great pair for an elegant look suitable for many occasions. As the weather cools down, I’ll add a cardigan, opaque tights and dressy booties for a winter ready look. Check out how I styled these cardigans here.
Second, I styled it with a scarf and hunter green accessories. The scarf adds some color, not to mention warmth to the outfit. These crocodile pumps have a block heel and are stylish, yet comfortable. The matching bag is just the right size for your basics and comes with a shoulder strap. Consequently, you can use it as a clutch or crossbody bag.
Lastly, I added color to this little black dress with pops of pink. It completely changed the look of the outfit, just by adding colorful accessories. I switched out the green bag and pumps for this pink envelope clutch and pink pumps. Also, a bright pink lip finishes the look. This is the pink lipstick I have been loving lately. It goes on smooth, creamy and has great staying power.
Seriously, there are so many things to love about this versatile, little black dress. As much as I love color, I can’t deny that a little black dress is a classic, timeless piece that is worth adding to your wardrobe. Do you have a favorite little black dress?
