Rich Colors for Fall

Rich-Fall-Colors

Good morning friends and happy Sunday.  I wanted to say thank you to all who have reached out to me about my recent skin cancer experience.  It warms my heart to have so many wish me well and send me prayers.  I wrote a blog post about it here.  If you get a chance, I hope you’ll give it a look.  I shared some important things I learned on this journey, including what signs to look for.  I hope it will help others who, like me, may not know the warning signs.  It has been an eye-opening experience.

So let’s get down to business now.  The business of fall fashion, that is.  😊  I love all the rich colors this season brings.  All the animal prints, deep tans, rusts and browns have me swooning.  Even though we haven’t experienced much of a cool down here in Texas, we can still go through the motions of pretending it’s fall.  I mean, who wants to miss out on all those cute sweaters and animal prints? #amIright

Today I’m sharing this fall outfit with a high-waist skirt.  This skirt is nice for cooler temps, it’s affordable and will take you right into fall with boots and tights.  It has a tiered design, and I love that it’s a little flowy and has some stretch for comfort.

These shoes were a great find for the season to update my work wardrobe.  They work well with a skirt, and look sharp with dress pants or even jeans for a business casual look.  They also come in leopard print and mushroom (a suede taupe color).  I might need them in all three colors.  (Need – Want—It’s all the same, right?!)  😉 I don’t know about you, but a block heel is a favorite for work.  I am often on the go, so a block heel and rounded toe really keep my feet comfortable while still looking professional.

This bag is the star of the show and the perfect color for fall.  The rich cognac color is so warm, and it also comes in black and mushroom.  It’s plenty roomy, with inner pockets for my phone, keys, etc.  It also has a top and side zip pocket, which came in super handy when we traveled a few weeks ago.  I could slip my passport and boarding pass easily into the zippered pocket for quick access.  When a bag is functional and gorgeous – it’s a keeper in my book!  Don’t you agree?

I found these bracelets at a shopping event I recently attended in Dallas.  The white turquoise and pearl beads compliment each other.  The Jewelry Junkie is a small Texas company and on-line store offering many cool pieces with a boho-chic vibe.

It looks like we will be getting cooler temperatures soon.  Even if the temps are close to 80 degrees, we will take it!  Are you ready for fall?
