Halloween-ish Style

Halloween-ish Style

Hello Friends and welcome to Halloween weekend.  We have been traveling this week, but will definitely be home in time for trick or treaters.  We moved to a new neighborhood last year, so it was our first Halloween living in the new house.  We were not prepared for all the trick or treaters.  We ran out of candy at a lame hour like 8:15 or something!!? #rookiemistake  With the experience from last year under our belt, and about a dozen bags of candy, we will be prepared this year!  #amateursnomore

My neighborhood really gets into Halloween and does it up right.  The neighbors go all out with giant spider webs, ghosts, witches, etc.  I spotted this pirate ship in one front yard.  It made for the best photo op.  Thanks, neighbors!  🙂

Halloween-ish

If you’re like me, and can not wear a costume at work for Halloween, you may want to still look festive.  I put this look together in keeping with a casual Halloween-ish look that you can wear to work or even a party if you are not in costume.  And really, you can wear this look all year long — not just for Halloween.  This top is a lightweight sweater, with the cutest bell sleeves.  It has ties on the outer side of the sleeves.  They aren’t too long, so as to not get in the way.  Like when you’re trying to dip your hand into the candy bowl for another snickers.  Oh wait. . . . . . . . Maybe that’s just me.  #nevertoooldforchocolate

The sweater can be worn with black dress pants or skinny jeans.  It isn’t super long, and fits just right without being bulky.  These shoes are my new favorite casual shoes.  They are platform slip on sneakers that come up high enough so you can wear no-show socks if you prefer.  They have black sequins to give them just a little bit of sparkle.  They are #allthefun

I finished this look off with corral earrings and lips.  Also, I can’t tell you how comfortable these shoes are.  They would get you from house to house trick or treating in style, and no aching feet at the end of the night.

I hope you have a great Halloween filled with fun and lots of candy.  And I hope you find something cute and Halloween-ish to wear.

Thanks for stopping by.            XOXO  Monica

This is such a cute look! I always just wear a top that is somewhat related to Halloween.

Thanks Stacey. Yes. I have definitely done that before too. But now I can’t wear t-shirts to work, so this was my next choice. I hope you have a Happy Halloween! 🙂
